Empty modern office with desks and chairs ready to move, office relocation in Wilsonville

An office that moves over the weekend can open in the new suite on Monday. In Wilsonville, that plan runs into a timetable. If some of your team gets to work on a SMART bus or a WES train, the weekend is exactly when their ride thins out or stops, and the people who know where everything goes may have no easy way back to the office until Monday.

That changes who packs what, and when. It changes how boxes find the right desk, who opens the door on Saturday, and whether a Sunday unload makes sense at all. This page walks through those choices for an office leaving or arriving in the city.

Larger office jobs here are walked before they are priced, and the crew bills by the hour from a published card. Butterfield Moving is a licensed family company based in Hillsboro.

The Weekend Gap in Wilsonville Transit, and What It Means for Your Move

We ask on the first call how many of your staff reach the office by bus or train, because if even two or three do, the schedules below shape the plan more than the furniture does.

What the schedules actually say

SMART runs its bus service Monday through Friday, 4:30 AM to 8:30 PM; on Saturdays only Routes 4 and 2X run, and on Sundays nothing does. WES trains run only during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours, every 45 minutes, with no weekend trains. The Saturday schedules for Route 4 and Route 2X, both effective August 24, 2026, place the first trips out around 8 in the morning and the last around 6 in the evening.

So a staff member who rides WES in from Beaverton or Tigard has a weekday train and no weekend one. On Saturdays, Route 2X still runs between Wilsonville Transit Center and the Tualatin Park & Ride, where riders transfer to TriMet, and its Saturday timetable lists connections to the 76 bus for Tigard and Beaverton. That is a way in for a Saturday keyholder, only a slower one. A person on a SMART route other than 4 or 2X has Friday and then nothing until Monday.

That 8:30 PM end of weekday service matters as much as the weekend gap: a Friday evening load that keeps two or three staff past that hour has sent them home some other way without anyone deciding to. If the plan is a Friday evening start, either finish the staffed part by 8 or settle rides on the Thursday.

The direction of the move matters as well. When an office arrives in the city from elsewhere, the first Monday is also the first commute to a new address, so staff may want to check the nearest stop and the transfer at Wilsonville Transit Center before the weekend, while there is still a weekday to try it. WES pulls in at 9699 SW Barber Street, so whether the new suite is a walk from that platform is worth checking too. When the office is leaving, the question flips: the new address may sit on a different line entirely.

A pack-by time set on Friday

Set the deadline for personal packing by the commute, and write it down as a time, such as 3 PM Friday, well before anyone has to leave for the afternoon train. Desk drawers, shelves, personal items, the plant on the windowsill: anything still loose on Friday evening gets packed by someone who has to guess.

Labels that speak for people who are not there

On a weekend unload, the crew places boxes without the owner standing next to them. A box carrying the person's name and the destination room, like "Maria, Office 4" or "Front Desk", places itself. Pair it with a one-page room list for the new suite, each name beside a room, and hand that list to the crew on arrival, so any mover can check where a box belongs without calling anyone.

One person with keys on Saturday

Someone from your side needs to unlock both suites, answer the questions a room list cannot, and walk the finished space with the crew before the truck leaves. We ask for that name and a backup when the date is set; the easiest person to name is one who drives or lives a short walk from the office.

If that person rides the Saturday bus, work backward from the last run. Route 2X's final Saturday trip reaches Wilsonville Transit Center at about 6:15 in the evening, and Route 4's final westbound trip arrives at Graham Oaks at about 6:10. An unload still going at six has already cost your keyholder the ride home, and the fix is the start time: a morning start on a Saturday leaves the whole afternoon as slack.

Check the new address against the two Saturday routes

Because only Routes 4 and 2X run on a Saturday, the question is whether either one reaches the new suite. Route 4 runs along Wilsonville Road and stops at the Transit Center, at Bailey Street by Old Town Square, and at the library. Route 2X runs between the Transit Center and the Tualatin Park & Ride. If the new address sits off both, then your keyholder drives, and so does anyone coming in to point at rooms, which is a reason to name that person early.

Sundays and holiday weekends

With no buses on Sunday, a Sunday unload requires a keyholder who can drive. Often the easier plan is to finish the heavy work on Saturday and let the team settle in on Monday. Holiday weekends deserve a second look too: SMART has published no-service holidays, including Memorial Day, Labor Day, and the Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving, so check the current list before you pick a date. A move planned for the Friday after Thanksgiving can cost anyone packing late that day's bus.

Pricing a Weekend Office Move in Wilsonville

Price a Saturday office move

Office crew and truck: Monday–Saturday, 7 AM–7 PM

  • 2 movers + truck: $150.35 per hour · 3 movers + truck: $206.75 per hour · 4 movers + truck: $263.15 per hour
  • 3-hour minimum · $56.40 per hour for each additional mover or packer
  • Evenings after 7 PM Mon–Sat, and Sundays (3-hour minimum): $195.20 / $273.40 / $351.60 per hour
  • Holiday rate (3-hour minimum): $230.50 / $325.50 / $420.50 per hour

If your staff cannot finish the common areas before their Friday deadline, our packers can take on the supply room, break room, and files at $56.40 per hour per packer, on the Friday itself or on an earlier day. A pack visit is the one piece of this plan that asks nobody to be in the building on a weekend.

The drive from our Hillsboro yard is part of the hours, billed at the same hourly rate as the crew. The run to Wilsonville takes about 30 to 40 minutes in normal traffic.

From the Last Weekday Commute to Monday Morning

01

A walk-through a few weeks out

For a larger office, Patrick visits the current space, counts desks, cabinets, and conference furniture, and asks about access at the new suite. Tell him then which staff ride transit, so the plan builds in the Friday deadline from the start.

02

Earlier in the week: room list and supplies

You send the one-page room list with names. If you need cartons, ask when you book whether we can get them to you ahead of time, and only the boxes you fill are billed.

03

Friday before the pack-by time

Staff finish their own desks and label every box with a name and room. Chairs get a name tag too. Anyone whose ride home leaves before the office closes packs early in the day.

04

Friday evening or Saturday morning: load

The crew pads the furniture and loads the truck. A Friday load that runs past 7 PM bills in the evening column, $195.20, $273.40 or $351.60 an hour for two, three or four movers with a truck, against $150.35, $206.75 or $263.15 before 7; a Saturday morning start stays in the standard column. From here on, a box with a name and a room on it can be placed without its owner standing there.

05

Saturday: unload and rebuild

At the new suite, desks and tables can go back together first, then each box goes to the room on its label. Anything the list leaves open is a question for your keyholder.

06

Monday: the team unpacks

Staff arrive on their usual bus or train at a stop they are using for the first time and find their own boxes at their desks.

Wilsonville Weekend Office Move Questions

If the only weekend that works is a holiday weekend, which rate applies?

The holiday itself uses the holiday column: two movers and a truck at $230.50 per hour, on the 3-hour minimum. The rest of that weekend goes by the ordinary rules: the Sunday sits in the Sunday column at $195.20, $273.40, or $351.60 an hour, and the Saturday is standard until 7 PM. Name the date on the call, and we will confirm which column it lands in. SMART also publishes no-service holidays, so a holiday Monday can leave the first day in the new suite without a bus.

Half our team rides in and half drives. Is a Saturday still the right day?

Yes, and the people who drive can be the ones on site. What changes is the room list: when the staff who know where things go are the ones with no weekend ride, their rooms need the clearest labels on the job.
