Patrick and Amy take the call, price it off the published card, and book your date; Patrick schedules the walk-through when the house calls for one. You'll talk through your starting and ending addresses, bedrooms, square footage, and any specialty items — and you'll leave that call with your number and your date, not with “a representative will contact you.”
4. The crew calls when they’re on the way
Your movers call en route, greet you at the door, and do a walkthrough before touching a single box. If it’s raining, this is Oregon; floor runners go down first. Then we get to work: wrap, pad, load, hustle.
2. You get a free, honest estimate on that same call
Most estimates are handled right over the phone, free. For specialty moves, packing jobs, and homes over 2,000 square feet, we’ll do a free walk-through so the estimate reflects reality. Are you insured, and can I see a certificate?
We carry general liability, cargo, workers’ comp, and fleet coverage, and we can produce a certificate of insurance, usually within an hour.
What exactly does the hourly rate include?
Wrapping, padding, disassembly, reassembly, and equipment should be included in the rate. If those are line items, your “cheap” quote isn’t.
How do you decide crew size?
The honest answer ties crew size to square footage and item count. The dishonest answer is whatever maximizes the hourly rate.
What happens if something is damaged?
Ask for the actual claims process and the coverage math. Oregon movers default to released-value protection at $0.60 per pound unless you purchase more. Any company that says “don’t worry, nothing ever breaks” is telling you about their claims process.
Is there a deposit, and what’s your reschedule policy?
We currently require no deposit, and we’re flexible on rescheduling with one to two weeks’ notice. Life happens; moving companies should know that.
