When a big home meets a small window, the split beats the squeeze: tonight's truck takes beds, kitchen essentials, clothes, and the items your morning needs; tomorrow's first slot takes the rest at standard daytime rates. Same total hours, no overtime panic, and you sleep in your own bed both nights. It's the most under-offered tool in emergency moving. Billing stays honest: a split that runs entirely same-day bills with a 3-hour minimum; a split across two days books each day on its own minimum.

Larger same-day moves often cross 7 PM, where the published overtime rates take over.
