Tell us what kind of Woodburn home you are leaving or moving into, and much of the plan follows from there. A ranch in Senior Estates, a new house off Boones Ferry Road with the closing still settling, and a home near Front Street downtown each call for a different loading day.
The Butterfield family runs this moving business from a truck yard in Hillsboro, roughly 55 to 60 minutes north of Woodburn. Patrick Butterfield, the owner, sets the work's price himself; his son Aiden rides with the crew. With that drive in the picture, Woodburn jobs are booked no sooner than tomorrow.
Send us the address, the rooms, and the biggest pieces. From that, Patrick can tell you the crew size, a likely start time, and the expected hours.

Three Kinds of Woodburn Home, Three Different Moving Days
Home 1: A one-story ranch in Senior Estates
Senior Estates is a 55+ community of 1,510 homes along Mt. Hood Avenue, first organized in 1962. Its houses are one-story ranches with one to three bedrooms, attached garages, and backyard patios. With no inside stairs, the hours go into walking from the back rooms to the truck and into clearing the garage, so we ask what the garage holds before we settle on a crew size.
Home 2: A house in a subdivision still being built
North of Hazelnut Drive, Dove Landing and Marion Pointe sit on either side of Boones Ferry Road, and Brighton Pointe and Smith Creek lie near Parr Road. These are newer subdivisions where building may still be underway. A home in one of them may have only a lot address so far; the surrounding streets may still be unfinished, and the closing date can slip. Send us the lot address and the builder's latest timing, and we can fit our moving date to it.
Home 3: A home or unit near downtown Front Street
Front Street's downtown sidewalks are laid in brick pavers around grated tree wells. A loaded dolly that glides over concrete jolts over brick, so for an address near Front Street, we can decide ahead of time which pieces roll to the truck and which the crew carries.

Woodburn Addresses and Surrounding Towns We Serve
We plan moves across these parts of Woodburn and the towns around it:
West of downtown
- Senior Estates, north and south of Mt. Hood Avenue
- Streets near the I-5 interchange
- Streets near the Woodburn Premium Outlets on Arney Road, just east of the freeway
The center of town
- Front Street and N 1st Street downtown
- Settlemier Avenue, Garfield Street and the blocks by Settlemier Park
- Streets around Legion Park on Park Avenue
North and east
- Boones Ferry Road, including Dove Landing and Marion Pointe north of Hazelnut Drive
- Parr Road near Centennial Park, Brighton Pointe and Smith Creek
- Boones Crossing and Trillium Park along Iris Street
Beyond the city limits
- St. Paul to the west, Mt. Angel and Silverton to the east
- Keizer and Salem, down I-5 to the south
Woodburn Roads, Parks and Business Corridors We Account For
Exit 271, OR 214 and the outlets
The truck reaches Woodburn at Exit 271. From there, OR 214 heads east along the north side of town through a busy shopping district, and Woodburn Premium Outlets, open since 1999, sit just east of the freeway off Arney Road. For an address near either one, we can schedule the truck outside the heaviest shopping hours.
Business frontage on Highway 99E
OR 214 meets 99E and OR 211 and then shares a stretch of 99E heading south, with shops and service businesses along the way. For a business on that frontage, the crew can clear the stockroom first and leave the sales floor for last, so the doors can stay open for as long as possible.
Settlemier Park
Settlemier Park covers 10 acres at 400 S Settlemier Avenue, with a grove of mature firs, and the city put park improvements out to bid in 2026. For a nearby address, we can check street access close to your date.
Roads to Silverton, Mt. Angel and St. Paul
The Woodburn interchange connects I-5 to OR 214 and OR 219, which lead toward Silverton, Mt. Angel, and Molalla on one side, and St. Paul and Newberg on the other. For a new home out toward St. Paul or Silverton, share the full address early so Patrick can check the approach to the house before quoting.

Crew Skills for Ranch Homes, Downtown Walks and Storefronts
Single-story homes with a full garage
A chest freezer needs to be emptied, unplugged and defrosted the day before, with the door propped open to dry. Bikes, bins and tools in the garage can be grouped by type so the crew wraps them like furniture rather than stacking them loose in the truck.
Downtown sidewalks
Pavers and tree grates can catch a small wheel. Our crew can switch to larger dolly wheels, lay a runner across a rough patch, or simply carry a glass case by hand for the few steps that need it.
New-construction move-ins
A house that was just finished has floors nobody has walked on and paint nobody has touched. The crew can lay runners from the entry to each room and pad the new door frames before the first load comes in, and it helps to confirm with the builder that the house number is posted so the truck finds the right lot.
Stockrooms and small warehouses
In a shop or small warehouse, our crew handles boxed stock, display fixtures and shelving light enough to carry, and we can tally cartons at loading and again at delivery. Forklift work and racking installations stay with the specialists who do them.
Released Value, Replacement Cost and Claims
Released value at $0.60 per pound is the legal floor, not a plan. A laptop or a small sculpture weighs little, so released value would pay back very little of what it cost. Replacement-cost protection is available if you choose to purchase it. We will submit a claim upon request.

The Woodburn Job, Step by Step
Address, rooms and a target day
Tell Patrick the address, how many rooms, and your preferred date. For a smaller home, he can often price it during that conversation.
A visit for the bigger houses
Larger homes get a free walk-through. Patrick notes the length of the carry and which pieces come apart, and then sends back crew size and expected hours.
Help with the boxes, on its own day
A packer can arrive before loading day to fill cartons for the kitchen, the bookshelves, and the closets, working from the rooms you pick.
Runners and guards in place
Floor runners mark out the route through the house, and padded covers go on each door frame, all set before the crew lifts anything.
Rebuilt on arrival, then one more walk
Blanketed furniture is strapped into the truck for the trip. Beds are the first pieces put back together at the new place, then each remaining piece is placed as you ask. Before the crew starts the drive back, walk each room alongside them and name anything to shift. You pay once the job wraps up.

Woodburn Moving Questions and Answers
What will a Woodburn move cost?
Daytime pricing starts at $150.35 per hour for a two-person crew with the truck and reaches $263.15 per hour for a four-person crew with the truck. The total depends on your inventory and the carry at both homes.
Who takes the furniture apart, and how do you keep track of the hardware?
Our crew handles the breakdown and the rebuild, and neither one is billed as an extra. Bolts and brackets ride in a marked bag taped to the piece they came off, and a complicated breakdown gets photographed first so it goes back the way it came apart.
Our buyer wants us out tomorrow. Can you help?
Phone us right away. With our trucks nearly an hour north, tomorrow is the earliest we can open in Woodburn, and Patrick will tell you straight away if that date is open.
How much lead time do you need?
One to two weeks of notice covers most local moves. Big houses and midsummer dates deserve a longer runway.
Do you store furniture between closings?
No. We do not offer storage. A storage company in the area can cover the gap between closings.
Our house near Settlemier Avenue is more than 100 years old. Does an older home cost more to move?
No. A local move carries no surcharge for an older or historic house. Mention narrow doorways or a tight staircase on the call, because those shape the crew size and the hours.
Can we use boxes we already have, and what happens to yours if we order too many?
Your own sturdy boxes are fine to use. Any of our cartons that stay unused come off the bill, so a few spares for the kitchen cost nothing if they go back on the truck.
We ordered flat-pack furniture for our new Dove Landing house. Will your movers assemble it?
They can. Building flat-pack pieces fits into moving day and runs on the same hourly crew time. Tell Patrick how many boxes are waiting at the house so the hours on the estimate include the build.
Woodburn Job Plans, Start to Finish
These are sample plans, the way Patrick would set each one up before a date is booked.
A Senior Estates home south of Mt. Hood Avenue to a smaller place in Silverton
A walk-through settles what suits the new place in Silverton and which pieces go to family. With the list settled, a three-mover crew can load in the morning, head east, and aim to have the beds up that afternoon.
A Front Street shop moving to a larger space near Highway 99E
The glass display cases are wrapped for the trip out. If the shop must stay open on weekdays, a Saturday load is an option.
A house near Legion Park to a townhome in Boones Crossing
At the current house, a tall hutch or armoire too wide for the hallway gets marked ahead of time to come apart. The new neighborhood off Iris Street is a short drive across town, so the bulk of the bill covers the lifting and the rebuilding.
